Brand Story

Phase I: The Soul of the Stitch (1978 )

The Roots of Sikar

KCPC Bandhani is not just a brand; it is a vessel for a thousand untold stories. Our journey didn’t begin in a boardroom, but in the narrow, sun-drenched lanes of Sikar, Rajasthan, in 1978. Under the wisdom of Mr Nanumal Maalchand Gurarawala Ji, a small shop was born - not merely to sell fabric, but to guard a 5,000-year-old handloom legacy.

In those days, handloom wasn’t a luxury; it was our identity. This responsibility was eventually passed to Mr Amarchand Gurarawala Ji, a man who believed that a smile and a steadfast will were all one needed to keep heritage alive. Alongside our master artisans, he carried this legacy forward for more than 20 devoted years, ensuring the rhythm of the loom never stopped.

But as the years turned around the year 2000, the shadow of "fast fashion" began to grow. The soulful sound of the handloom was being silenced by the mechanical roar of the powerloom. Our artisans faced a heartbreaking dilemma: continue the sacred art of their forefathers or abandon their heritage for meager daily wages just to survive. It was a battle between the machine and the soul.

If you are reading this today, pause for a moment and take pride in yourself. By being here, you are no longer a mere spectator; you are now a part of a family that hears these whispers of heritage and refuses to let these untold stories fade away.

Phase II: The Digital Renaissance (2019 – 2024)

Restoring the Artisan’s Voice

The turning point arrived in 2019. While the world grew quiet during the pandemic, the handloom industry was on the brink of collapse. Artisans were walking away from their looms for manual labour just to survive. It was then that CA Piyush Agarwal formally joined the family fold with a vision: if our roots could adapt, they would become unshakeable.

He noticed a painful truth-while global fashion houses and metro cities were falling in love with Bandhani, the master artisans in the narrow lanes of Sikar were being exploited. People were selling these pieces at 15x the price, yet the hands that tied the knots were living in poverty.

Piyush decided to disrupt the cycle. He didn't just want to sell clothes; he wanted to rebuild the system. He introduced Video-Based Shopping, a revolution that brought the vibrant shop floors and authentic textures of Sikar directly to your screens. By moving away from cold, static photos and using live video and WhatsApp, he cut out the middlemen entirely.

Today, Team KCPC Bandhani continues to honour this legacy through precise quality and a service dedicated to our loyal customers, ensuring our Bandhani lives on as a timeless art. We are constantly adapting new practices in our manufacturing units that directly empower our artisans, while introducing bold innovations and fresh designs to the ethnic segment. This transparency built a bridge of trust, creating a massive community of 4 million people. We didn’t just create a customer base; we sparked a movement that empowered an entire ecosystem of weavers to reclaim their livelihoods and their dignity.

Phase III: The Timeless Identity (2025 & Beyond)

The Heartbeat of Our Growth: You

Today, KCPC Bandhani is a testament to the fact that when tradition adapts, it becomes unshakeable. We now cater to over 10,000 orders a month, supported by a thriving network of 25,000+ resellers. But these aren't just numbers-they are a movement.

Our greatest strength has always been our Loyal Community. They are not just "customers"; they are the sophisticated women who recognise the difference between a mass-produced print and a hand-tied knot. There is a reason our community has grown to 4 million strong with a return rate of less than 1%. It’s because once a woman experiences the drape of a KCPC Bandhani, she understands that she isn't just wearing a garment-she is wearing a legacy. Those who are part of the KCPC family know the thrill of our Live Video Shopping sessions, where the most exclusive, one-of-a-kind pieces disappear in seconds, claimed by those who truly value authentic artistry.

On December 12, 2025, we took our next giant leap with the inauguration of our first franchise in Sikar. This marked the beginning of our mission: "Har Ghar Bandhani." We pledge to bring the KCPC experience to every state in India, transforming this regional treasure into a global fashion brand.

If you are reading this, you are standing at the threshold of a family that values the untold. You are not just purchasing a piece of cloth; you are keeping a story alive. To our loyalists, thank you for carrying our heritage. To our new friends - welcome to the inner circle of Indian handloom.

KCPC Bandhani: Honouring the hands that weave our history.
